Her approach to counseling has been person-centered and utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, and she spent two and a half years researching romantic breakups and no contact as her doctoral dissertation. With her theoretical framework being attachment theory and stages of grief and loss, she found unwanted romantic breakups to be extremely difficult when no contact is in place, however it does allow faster healing by the rejected partner. Her goal is to encourage others to be comfortable in their own skin and feel empowered in life and for people to feel safe.
